SCHOOL LEAVERS PROM 2015

After waiting years and years for the night, on Monday night I had my Leavers Prom.  Now that I have officially finished school forever (which is actually really upsetting now that its happened haha) it was time to have my Leavers Ball.  It was a lovely evening where we all dressed up in heels and long glamorous dresses, with the gorgeous background of Leeds Castle.  Above I included some photos from the evening, which shows my make-up and hair (impressively which I done myself) and my outfit of the night.  I chose so go a golden-pink slightly smokey eye, with a dewy skin look by wearing my favourite foundation; Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Foundation, and contouring and highlighting my face with the infamous Sleek Contour Kit.  I also wore the Eyelure Volume Lashes No.100 which gave a really natural look but enhanced the eye makeup. I knew that I really wanted a red dress this year for prom, so when I saw this dress I immediately got it as fell in love with it.  It had a mesh upper bodice, and then panels of large red fabric and thin strips of mesh again.  There was a nude under-slip dress so it looked like skin but secretly wasn't. I really liked the body con style with the slight mermaid skirt which also had a large mesh panel to show off the shoes.  I paired the dress with some silver diamonte platform shoes which I found on depop and a stunning glitter clutch bag to match the shoes.

MAXMARA A/W 2015 READY-TO-WEAR

Max Mara took inspiration from the fashion icon; Marilyn for this collection.  This icon is known for her sassy figure with  cinched in waists featured by pencil skirts and bustiers.  The scenic runway transported us to a film backdrop of gentle waves crashing at the shore, setting a cosy and comforting vibe for the show.  Opening the show was the 'it' model of the moment; Gigi Hadid. The stunning model owned the runway looking gorgeous as ever, showing us why she is worth the hype.  She wore an oversized camel coat, with a lighter toned slip dress underneath.  

The collection is heavily inspired by Monroe 's 50 style, however a modern granny style came to mind.  The cat eyes glasses, tousled hair, delicate prints and patent loafers feature on the models - with appearances from more of the industries top models; Daphne Groenveld, Joan Smalls.  MaxMara featured the favourite houndstooth print multiple times in the collection - proving that its back again this year girls!  The romantic atmosphere echoed through the garments with the classic camel and sand tones, powdered blues and grey.  

I can imagine Topshop and Urban Outfiters will be the high street alternative for this collection next autumn/winter due to the cashmere knits, quilted jackets, and mohair oversized coats.  The coats in this collection were definitely the attention in the show- models strutted the runway with their arms crossed drawing in the recognition of the audience.  Matching toned garments were worn underneath to avoid distraction, and the 'tucked-up' hair allowed the hair to be shown off as much as possible. 

MILAN #2

This was a day outfit for visiting galleries and museums around Milan and also for shopping! I ensured the outfit was conservative as knew we were visiting the infamous Duomo in Milan centre, practical as would be a long day and comfy yet stylish at the same time.  My knock-off timberlands are very comfortable and make the outfit more casual.  I also took and wore a peachy nude blazer, which I got last year from Primark, to keep me warm but also a bit smarter during the day.

MILAN #1

Last week, I was lucky enough to go to Milan, Italy for five days with my school as a trip with the textiles department.  I had the most amazing time there and thought I would share with you a few of my outfits whilst out there.  The Italian style had influenced and intrigued me, as I noticed that the main trend whilst being in Milan was smart garments/outfit paired with trainers.  This popular street style was worn by most members of the public and I thought made an outfit look classy but relaxed and comfortable at the same time.  After realising that I had bought way too many outfits with me for only a 5 day trip, I styled this outfit with what was available (photos were taken on our adorable balcony by my room-mate - she's the best!)...

BARBIE WORLD

After social media sites flood with Moschino's new capsule collection by Jeremy Scott, it's definitely one collection that made it's mark - a pink one to be specific!  Taking the main inspiration from the iconic Barbie doll, Jeremy Scott's Spring/Summer 15 capsule collection was full of pink garments and accessories.  And if you are lucky enough to fork out £100+ for a slogan t-shirt then it's your lucky day as you can buy it online now, at moschino.com.  

This collection is all about the shades of hot pinks and magentas, with slogan tees and the Barbie-fied Moschino logo printed all-over every other item.  The accessories were perfectly matched with miniature biker jacket styles (pink as well of course), and the ideal selfie taking iphone case made to look like a Barbie mirror - amaaaaazing!

COAT COLLECTION

Summer is now over and winter is soon on the horizon.  But first it's autumn which means wrapping up warm with chunky knitted jumps, heeled boots and oxblood coloured jeans.  A classic coat is perfect for keeping warm and stylish, and buying an oversized style allows you to layer as much as possible with jumpers, jersey tops, and scarves.  Since the high street is full of coats at the moment, it would only be appropriate to show you my favourites.  As you can see I love the duster style coat and these six from missguided and asos (didn't mean for them to all be from only two stores) are so gorgeous.

NECKLACE : ACCESSORY WEDNESDAY

This speckled grey dress is a must, especially in my wardrobe.   It's so easy to style and quick to put on and run out of the door looking half decent (even if you only woke up 10 minutes previous, haha!)  It has a speckled effect of many shades of grey. - making it a bit more interesting than a plain solid colour.  It's hopefully going to be perfect for A/W14. It's from Select and is so comfy to wear due to the knitted construction and lightweight feel.  I wore a long gold chain necklace with it, from Accessory Wednesday.  The necklace is tied off with a clasp embedded with diamanté s and has two gold tassels, which is so gorgeous and different from any others out there.   I also threw on my trusty all-black converse, however a pair of bright wedges could be an alternative for a smarter occasion.
